International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICT) was incorporated on December 24,1987 to operate, manage and develop the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT),which handles international container cargo at the Port of Manila. In May 1988, thePhilippine Ports Authority (PPA) awarded the MICT contract to ICT. The Company startedoperating the MICT on June 12, 1988.The principal business of ICT is the operation, management, development and acquisition ofcontainer terminals. ICT and its subsidiaries also provide a number of ancillary servicessuch as storage, container stripping and stuffing, inspection, weighing and services forrefrigerated containers or reefers, as well as roll-on/roll-off and anchorage services to non-containerized cargoes or general cargoes on a limited basis.As of December 2012, ICT is involved in 27 terminal concessions and port developmentprojects in 19 countries worldwide. These are 21 operating terminals in seven key ports inthe Philippines; two in Indonesia; one each in Brunei, Japan, China, US, Ecuador, Brazil,Poland, Georgia, Madagascar, Croatia, Pakistan and India; three ongoing port developmentprojects in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina; and three concluded negotiations to manageand operate ports in Nigeria and Honduras and develop and manage another port in Davao.
